Why
Invitations?
Have you been drafted to organize your buddy’s bachelor party? If
so, then you may be wondering why you should consider sending out invitations.
After all, you know everyone that is going to be there, right? Why not just
call them on the phone. Well, before you decide to call your friends and
tell them when to come over your house for the big bash, here are a couple
of things to keep in mind.
One, it is possible that the groom may have a larger group of friends than
you realized. Do some research first. Find out who would be interested in
coming other than who you know and send them an invitation. Another reason
is that invitations give the event a more formal feel, not to mention a
more reliable set of directions to where it is going to be and what time
it is going to happen.
What
type of Invitations? Don’t forget to consider what type of bachelor
party it is you are planning. Is it going to be at someone’s house?
Is it out of town, to where others attending need more time to prepare for
the trip? Is it a bachelor party getaway? This would require even more time
for the invites to be mailed out. When you have determined what type of
party it is going to be, then the invitations should follow suit. This means
that if the party is more casual, let them know. If it is going to be at
swanky hotel, then perhaps send out invitations that have a fancy look to
them, for effect. It will set the mood for the event, and it will be lots
of fun.
Invitation Information This is probably the most important. Be thorough when
making out the invites. Remember, those you are sending the invitations
to do not know all of the information you do. Be attentive to detail and
make sure that all of the times, dates, locations and addresses, and any
other info that they need to know (additional fees for clubs or other such
places) is made available.
